Creative Side

Just to start things off I thought I'd show my creative side. Below is a poem I wrote back in November 2005. It's a depressing one because I wrote it after a break up, although a lot of writers get their best writing after an emotional occasion.

I am lost, can’t you see?

I thought I had found the path,

The path to happiness

But one word, one mistake,

That path has crumbled.

As it falls beneath my feet,

I too fall, I fall into the darkness.

I am lost, can’t you see?

I thought I had found the light,

The light to my path.

But that light has died.

I am in that darkness,

The one that comforts the broken

I suppose I am broken now too.

I am lost, can’t you see?

I thought I had found the way,

The way to feeling free,

But I am weighted down again

My wings are torn and broken like me,

I can not fly out of the darkness.

I can not find my way…

I am lost, can’t you see?

I hope to take a creative writing class sometime next semester, maybe poetry. I think I would probably have a knack for interior design. My friends and I like to point at objects and guess it's hue. Chartreuse, canary yellow, periwinkle, burgundy, cobalt, and olive are among the colors I am proficient in.

Atleast you can tell different shades of color. Myself, I'm somewhat colorblind on green. I have a hard time telling the different shades, but I try and compensate

Keep writing, you have a very stong talent for writing. I would be so happy if I could write a poem like that.
